Helping Families over the holiday Season

The Huron County Christmas Bureau provides support for around 1000 children and their families through host distribution sites in the five County towns the week of December 14th.   The community is encouraged to bring their gifts of new clothing, new toys, food and financial gifts to the host bureau closest to where they live the week of December 7 –11th. for distribution the following week.

Parents with children ages 18and under and living in Huron County can register for assistance by calling “Christmas Central” at 524-7356 of 1-800-265-5198 ext. 3271 between Nov. 30th and December 11th.  Appointments will be made for the parent's to pick up their gifts the week of Dec. 14th.

The Perth Christmas Service for families with children is hosted at the Army Navy & Air Force Veterans Club, 151 Lorne Ave. in Stratford the week of December 7th.

 

New clothing, new toys and financial gifts can be dropped off at the Huron Perth Children’s Aid Society Office at 639 Lorne Ave. E anytime before December 7th or taken directly to the distribution centre on December 7th.   Families needing assistance are registered by the Perth Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and the social workers at the Huron Perth Children’s Aid Society..

 

Confidential appointments are scheduled for registered clients the week of December 8th—10th.
