Learn More About Our Work
Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society (HPCAS) is non-profit, community organization legally mandated to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect.
HPCAS advocates for and protects children’s rights, supports and strengthens families; and is a leader for change in our community. Through culturally competent services, with the support of the community, we help parents and caregivers build healthy families and provide a safe environment for children and youth.
Call us. We are here to help. We are available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the community.

Today is Children and Youth in Care Day, when we recognize and celebrate the current and former youth in care in communities across Ontario.
We work with children and youth in care every day, and we see their resilience up close. They face challenges most young people never have to …navigate, yet they keep moving forward — forming new relationships, pursuing their goals, and finding ways to thrive despite difficult circumstances.
Whether they're living with kinship families, foster families, or in group homes, these young people deserve to know they have a community that supports them. Their experiences matter, their voices count, and their futures are full of possibility.
To the children and youth we serve and support: we see your strength, we celebrate your achievements, and we support you always.

Equity, empowerment and engagement are core values that guide everything we do at HPCAS.
We're committed to creating inclusive spaces where every child, youth and family feels respected and valued. When we centre voice, identity, culture and heritage in our work, we build stronger …communities where everyone can thrive.
This commitment shows up in how we serve families, how we build our team, and how we show up as community partners every day.

Motherhood looks different for everyone. Some hold children in their arms, others hold them in their hearts. Some are raising the children they gave birth to, while others are raising children who came to them in different ways.
Today we honour all who mother – those who comfort scraped …knees and celebrate first steps, who worry through sleepless nights and beam with pride at small victories.
To the mothers navigating joy, grief, hope and everything in between – Happy Mother's Day 💐

May 7th is National Child and Youth Mental Health Day, and it's about something simple but powerful: letting young people know they matter.
When children and youth have adults who genuinely listen and care about their experiences, everything changes. Young people who feel connected …experience lower levels of anxiety and depression, higher resilience, and a stronger ability to cope. It's not about having all the answers or fixing every problem. It's about being present and showing up consistently.
We work with young people every day who are navigating tough situations. What makes the biggest difference? Having someone in their corner who believes in them and sees their potential, even when they can't see it themselves.
Today we encourage you to find a moment to really connect with a young person in your life. Ask how they're doing and actually listen to the answer. These conversations matter more than we might think.
