Children’s Aid Societies help to protect infants, children and youth who are experiencing abuse or are at risk of experiencing abuse, physically, sexually, emotionally, or through neglect or abandonment. We help protect by offering ongoing services, kinship supports, and out-of-home protection services such as foster care.

We centre services and planning around a child and youth’s voice, identity, culture, and heritage. Great emphasis is placed on ensuring that children and youth can stay with their families and be safe and thrive whenever possible. We try to minimize disruption and maintain connections with extended family, kin, and community.
