We were honoured to welcome Deputy Minister Daniele Zanotti, Assistant Deputy Minister Linda Chihab, Regional Director Mamta Chail, and Community Programs Manager Gabe Minor to Huron Perth Children’s Aid Society yesterday.
Your visit provided a meaningful opportunity for us to share the …important work we do to support the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families in our communities.
Your time, attention, and thoughtful engagement with our team reflect a true commitment to understanding the challenges and opportunities facing child welfare in Ontario.
We deeply appreciated the chance to discuss both the progress we’ve made and the ongoing needs of the families we serve.
Thank you once again for your support and partnership as we work together to build stronger, safer communities.

When children can't live at home, kinship means they can stay with people they know and trust — extended family, family friends, neighbours, or other community members who care about them.
Kinship arrangements work to help children keep their connections to family, culture and …community during difficult times, while keeping them safe. Finding and supporting those kinship connections is key to the work we do.

This month we're introducing you to Sara (Ojibwe Anishinaabe, Curve Lake First Nation), the next shining star in our #TeamSpotlight! ✨
Sara is our Mino-Bimaadiziwin Cultural and Wellness Manager and we are proud to have had her on the Huron-Perth CAS team for 2.5 years.
In… her own words: "I love having the opportunity to bring Indigenous perspectives to the forefront ensuring that cultural values, traditions, and ways of knowing are integrated into the care and support that First Nation, Inuit and Metis children, youth and families receive from HPCAS. The work we do is about healing generations – restoring balance, dignity, and connection. I am proud to be a part of the movement toward truth, reconciliation, and real change in Child Welfare."
Sara's dedication ensures that Indigenous children and youth in our community receive care that truly honours their culture and keeps them connected to important pieces of their individual identity.
