You are the volunteers who love creating memories! Every week, you pick up your mentee and head out for a favourite activity — …whether it's skating, swimming, or tending to the garden you planted together. Your consistency and support shine through as you build strong, meaningful relationships in such a short time.

Your dedication shows in the thoughtful activities you plan and the care you put into celebrating special moments. You truly focus on making each experience memorable for your mentee, and it makes a lasting impact.

We are pleased to share that The WELL and Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society (HPCAS) have partnered to support the long-term stability and continuity of The WELL Youth Hubs, supported by HPCAS.

Through a formal Memorandum of Understanding, HPCAS will provide administrative and …operational support to the hubs, while preserving the youth-centred, low-barrier model that defines The WELL Youth Hubs.

✔ No changes are being made to the day-to-day operations of the three current hubs
✔ Youth will continue to access the same welcoming services they rely on
✔ Shannon McGavin will continue to lead The WELL Youth Hubs as Director, supported by HPCAS
✔ The WELL model, identity, and approach remain intact

This partnership strengthens the foundation for long-term sustainability while ensuring continuity for youth, families, and community partners across Huron and Perth.

Ignite is a truly special place where kids can have fun, be creative, and feel …free to be themselves — and that magic exists because of you. You engage with the kids, share stories and give them your full attention. Your dedication and commitment are what make this program thrive. You’re the spark that makes Ignite the place everyone can’t wait to be every Tuesday night!

To our Ignite Huron volunteers: thank you for committing to the year-long, 1:1 journey of mentorship. Your dedication and passion for helping young people grow and succeed is truly inspiring. The way you connect with your mentee, show up consistently, and become a steady, supportive role model makes a powerful impact. Your creativity in planning weekly activities and the care you show on special occasions is nothing short of heartwarming.
